Enrolling a Group of Students Using Remote Enrollment - VTVLC, BTC, and CTE - Student Accounts Do Not Exist

If students are not already in PS and there is a large group of them, use the directions below to import the data, which would include all data, classes, teachers, etc.

If students are already in PS and there are few to enroll, use this procedure

Creating the Import File
  1. Download the PowerSchool Import Template from Knowledgebase Article 6619.
  2. Choose the template in the workbook titled "Student Schedules".
  3. Create a new Excel workbook, and copy the field names from the "Student Schedules" template:
    • Student_Number
    • Course_Number
    • Section_Number
    • Term_Number
    • Dateenrolled
    • DateLeft
  4. Populate the template in the new workbook with the appropriate information for each student
  5. Save the Excel workbook as Text (Tab Delimited).
Importing the Template
  1. Log into the school where the section is offered (as opposed to school that the students are enrolled in).
  2. Navigate to Special Functions > Importing and Exporting > Quick Import and choose the Student Schedules Table from the drop down menu.
  3. Browse for your Excel file.
  4. Check the box, "Suggest field map" and click on Import.

Note: Be sure not to check the box for "Advanced Import Options" before reading the instructions. Most users do not want to check this box.

You should now be able to log into the school that the students are enrollment in, select the correct term at the top of the page, and view the section on the All Enrollments page for each student.
