Good afternoon everyone,
Thanks for your continued support for families as they navigate the PS parent portal to complete the survey about re-opening preferences. There has been a flurry of activity around the survey- over 1000 families have completed it in the first 48 hours- and we wanted to let you know of the supports we are building for families.
As a quick note- many of these supports will assist you and families in helping them complete the Annual student update, which will be launched later this month.
How are they completing the survey?
I have made a family facing screencast to show you (and families) how to access the Parent Portal, how to find the survey, and how to complete it.

Families are contacting me saying they can't log in. What now?
Check if they have an access account.
If NO- they will need to create an account for the first time.
If YES- ask them to reset their username and password. This will resend an email to the existing email.
Families are contacting me saying they can't find the survey. Now what?
Feel free to send the family the Family Facing Screencast to access survey
Troubleshooting
We have found families are not scrolling through the other forms to find the survey form. Ask the family to scroll DOWN the forms page until they see the survey.
We have also found families are not toggling between students in the upper left hand corner of the parent portal. This is highlighted in the family-facing screencast.
I think a family's account was impacted by contact consolidation. Now what?
We have seen a few cases where contacts were incorrectly consolidated. In this case, you may have to create a new contact and relink to students. If you are uncomfortable, please Add the case to this spreadsheet.
If you have other questions, Add the case to this spreadsheet.
I think a family's account was impacted by contact consolidation. I want to learn more about contacts.
I think i have a special case (tried all the above, and nothing worked). What now?
Again, thank you for the support you provide for families and students.
