How To - Record Attendance in a Students Previous School

Summary

To enter or change attendance at a student’s previous school, use *as_of to search for the student.

You will be able to select the student and use the Student Attendance screens to enter or modify attendance.


Details

  1. Note the date range the student was enrolled in the previous school by reviewing their school enrollments on their Transfer Info screen.
  2. Select the school the student was previously enrolled in.
  3. On the Start Page enter *as_of=[date] - where the [date] is within the range found in step 1. This will produce a list of students who were enrolled in the school on that date, including ones that have since moved to other schools
  4. Select the desired student from the list
  5. Select the Attendance screen
  6. You can now enter and modify attendance for the previous school enrollment

Note:You may need to select the “Show Dropped Classes” button on the Meeting Attendance page to see the student’s classes and weekly attendance links


Examples

*as_of=01/01/2017 - this will list all students enrolled in the school on January 1st, 2017
*as_of=01/01/2017;Grade_Level=10 - this will list all 10th Grade students enrolled in the school on January 1st, 2017
*as_of=01/01/2017;LastFirst=Smith, John - this will select student John Smith only

If you are searching for students who aren't currently active in any school (Transferred Out, Graduated, etc), add the forward slash:
